Helsinki, Finland – November 23rd, 2015 – Umbra announced today that Activision Publishing, Inc. has licensed the Umbra Visibility Solution for use in PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions of Call of Duty®: Black Ops III, developed by Treyarch. The game is currently available at retailers worldwide.
Umbra’s optimization software makes sure that objects in the game world hidden behind other objects, do not get rendered. The technology boosts rendering performance, helping achieve a smooth frame-rate which Call of Duty® series is known for.
