Umbra v3.4.25 Release Notes

March 28, 2024

  • Graviton
    • Graviton-specific ARM optimizations.
    • Released Optimizer and Runtime for Graviton-Linux.
  • Volume to volume query
    • Optimizations to ARM, Graviton and generic queries.
    • Query uses more memory if query context is provided more than the default amount. More memory allows increased query performance with complicated inputs and data.
    • Fixed issues causing different results when the ends are swapped.
    • Fixed behavior near exit portals.
    • Fixed an intersection bug which could cause the query to be too conservative in certain situations.
  • Optimizations for other queries
    • Most notably the Portal::getBounds optimization affects other queries as well.
      • Affects any query accessing the portals, including the main portal query.
      • Supports ARM64 NEON and x86 SSE3.
  • Fixed license reminder being shown if there is no write access to the config file.
  • Updated plugins for Unreal Engine 4 and 5, integrated with the 3.4.25 release of Umbra.
